Democrat Logic
Well, looks like the Democrats have decided upon a united attack on President Bush. Part of this new strategy is to dismiss the war in Iraq as a distraction from the war on terror. Leaving aside the obvious reality that Iraq is now part of that broader effort, their stance leads them to a conclusion outlined in the following quote by House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi,
Pelosi called the war in Iraq a "grotesque mistake," which she said has diminished America's reputation in the world and has not made the country safer.I often wonder why the President just doesn't scream the following at detractors like Pelosi:
"We would be much safer today, if President Bush had kept his focus on al-Qaida, rather than diverting crucial resources from the war on terror in Afghanistan to a war of choice in Iraq," said Nancy Pelosi. "The president must be held accountable for this war."
HELLO? NO ATTACKS ON DOMESTIC SOIL SINCE 9/11! WHAT PLANET ARE YOU LIVING ON?
That would shut them up. Don't you think? Then again, probably not.
