Will Jack every learn?

THROWING DARTS

I just went over to the NDP website and found this message at the top of the page:

Question: Does anybody really believe Paul Martin is a George Bush clone?

If the effort to end one-party rule is ever going to succeed in this country it will probably need a nudge from the left. Are moderately progressive Canadians really going to buy into red meat left-wing messages like this one being peddled by Jack Layton?

Layton was a big disappointment in the last federal election. A question one could logically ask is this: Has he learned anything since? You be the judge.

UPDATE (8:36PM): If you take a look at the above picture of Jack Layton you might get inside the heads of many who watched the debates during the last federal election. He does tend to pour it on a bit heavy at times.

Comments:
57 million Americans and 70% of Canadians agree with Jack Layton on BUSH.

Sure he can say these things because he is not Prime Minister, but it sure as heck would be helpful if our Prime Minister would stand for something.

Martin flip flopped so much, Bush actually thought he could convince Martin to support star wars.

Martin is not Bush, still his party has been moving further right since he became finance minister and more so now he is number one.

Tax cuts for the wealthy, business, nafta and free trade, private health care, the list goes on. Martin as you can see shares much of Bush's agenda.

It was only after public opinion against star wars wasn't changing that Martin changed his position from supporting Bush to saying no for now.

Harper and Martin both share a great deal with George, and don't forget, Martin himself ran against Harper calling his policies American style government!

Does Paul Martin flip-flop, or has he moved his part to the right, as you say?

"Tax cuts for the wealthy, business, nafta and free trade, private health care, the list goes on. Martin as you can see shares much of Bush's agenda."

This is just more Canadian left wing propaganda. You just finished telling us Martin is not Bush. Now you say he is Bush.

And Martin had no success accusing Harper of being an American. It's when he fear-mongered about Harper's agenda, which is what the left does, and Harper didn't respond, when he started making inroads. And Jack helped him out.

Is this all the left has? When someone proposes right-of-centre policy solutions, you just label them an American? I thought you left-wingers were against the use of McCarthyist tactics?
