This is what Paul Wells had to say a few days ago about Conservative MPs being appointed to the Senate: "Ain't gonna happen. Give your heads a shake, folks."
CTV's Robert Fife was the first in the media to start the speculation (as far as I'm aware, of course). As of today, according to the CTV website, "CTV's Ottawa bureau chief Robert Fife reported Sunday that Liberals have been talking to four Conservative MPs about accepting Senate seats in the coming weeks."
Maybe we all need to shake our heads.
