Look who's out of the mainstream now
For over a decade, there was a party and political movement in Canada that you could count on to be labelled as out of the mainstream. For over a decade, there were members of said party and political movement that you could count on to say things to embarrass the party and tarnish its image in the eyes of the public. That party used to be Reform/Alliance/Conservative. Now it's the Liberal Party of Canada.
It's the Liberal Party of Canada that is now scrambling to tell Canadians it does not equate viciously Jew-hating terrorists with the state of Israel. It's the Liberal Party of Canada that is forcing its members to resign over controversial comments viewed as outside of the mainstream of Canadian society.
In the current political landscape that now makes up Canada, up is down, black is white, and the Liberals are trying to emulate Conservatives when it comes to representing mainstream Canadian values.
Who'd a thunk?
