Remember that road to the Baghdad airport?
I, too, was wondering about what happened to all those stories about the road to the Baghdad airport. It was routinely described as the most dangerous road in the world. Well, it turns out that we're not hearing about it anymore because it's actually turned into one of the safest roads in Baghdad — and it's security is being handled by the Iraqi army to boot. Don't want to tell Canadians and Americans that one, do we?
No matter what you think of the war, it's still is a war. There are still at least two sides fighting, and the good guys are making progress, as this story shows us. Yet the media and the Chicken Littles want to write all this off and let free Iraqis go to hell. Why?
