If Stephen Harper is so weak...
If Prime Minister Stephen Harper is as weak as some of the current polling suggests, I wonder what some of his biggest critics must think of the fact that the leader of the opposition is essentially letting the government do what it wants.
Think about that for a second. Most of the polls (and you know what I think about polls) have Harper at a level of support below that which he gained during the last election almost two years ago now.
Yet the prime minister is essentially governing as though he has a majority, in large part because of the ineptness and weakness of the current Liberal leader.
Most progressives like the idea of having a champion fight for their causes. Well, they're certainly not getting it in Dion right now.
In fact, what they're getting is an apparently unpopular conservative government having their way with the so-called progressives in Parliament.
Ain't that a kick?
