The Toronto Star now likes George Bush's sweet talk
THIS AND THATIsn't it lovely the Toronto Star now believes things are terrific between Canada and the United States? Why do they think this? Because George Bush said so during the conference of the Three Amigos Wednesday.
Never mind what has actually happened to the relationship over the course of the past few years. Never mind mad cow. Never mind softwood lumber. Never mind Martin's nose-thumbing on missile defence. George Bush was willing to completely forget all that and pretend a new day has dawned.
And, while we're at it, I'm sure the Toronto Star is relieved to hear Saddam's weapons of mass destruction were found in Iraq, thus further cementing the Star's faith in that lovable cowboy whose every word they live by. Oh, wait a minute.....
