Democrats blast Chavez for his Bush hatred
I have to say, I think this is the first time I've seen the left try to put a stop to the kind of hatred of America and Bush being peddled by the increasingly nutty Hugo Chavez, President of Venezuela. Up until now, Democrats have generally fuelled such hatred. I wonder what's changed, or if it'll actually stem the tide of the irrational anti-Americanism being spread around the world by the usual suspects. We'll see.
And, for the record, all CTV's Graham Richardson had in response to the Chavez speech was the word "shocking." No condemnation whatsoever. Indeed, he tried to contrast it to Harper's approach with America. Isn't that lovely?
UPDATE (6:44 pm): Unsurprisingly, a certain someone isn't impressed by the efforts of the Democratic party to combat the Bush hatred from Chavez.
