Dion's English
It just occurred to me what Stephane Dion's problem in English is. He's trying too hard, and he's trying too hard to be cute and show a sense of humour while he's at it. Just stick with the basics, buddy, and work your way from there. People need to understand you first. That's all that really matters. Nothing too fancy. Your personality will flow from that. Any humour, which is always difficult in a second language, will be a bonus.
I say all this in the wake of a debate performance in which many believe his English was rushed and difficult to follow at times.
