The response from the Dion camp is NOT good
Based on what Dion's spokesman is saying, as well as his top blogger, the response from the Liberal leadership camp is not good. In essence, they are denying that any plagiarism has taken place despite clear evidence to the contrary. Quotes were ripped-off and ideas mimicked. Yet Team Dion has decided to deny the reality of the charges and attack those like me who are asking the questions.
Furthermore, it appears that the Suzuki Foundation itself has chosen to circle the wagons around an ideological ally rather than champion academic propriety. If that's what the Suzuki Foundation and Team Dion stand for, then what does that say about the credibility of their views on the environment? Protecting the perceived holiness of the priests of global warming seems more important to these people than academic honesty. Interesting.
It also doesn't say much about the integrity of the Dion political camp, I might add. A defence tactic of denial then attack is a sign of political desperation. As far as I'm concerned, it doesn't bode well for them.
