Can Ignatieff be stopped? Does Harper care?

Can Ignatieff be stopped? Does Harper care?

These are the questions being asked by Dan Leger in the Halifax Chronicle Herald.

The answer to the second question is probably no. All of the frontrunning Liberal leadership hopefuls have serious baggage that makes the whole lot of them B-list candidates at best.

The first question, however, is an interesting one. According to the article, it would seem that lefties like Leger would prefer Ignatieff get easy passage through the leadership race in order to best take on the dreaded Mr. Harper.

I'm sure many Liberals feel that way as well. It's an ironic position to take. In order to stop a "Bush wannabee" in Harper, some Liberals are willing to take on as leader another Bush wannabee. Fascinating.
