Prominent Liberal leaves over anti-Israel comments

OK, so I might be using some dramatic license by assuming that the wife of a recent Liberal cabinet minister is a prominent Liberal. However, I think it's safe to say that this is exactly the kind of thing Harper was hoping to achieve by continuing to press the Liberals hard on Israel. He's exposing serious rifts in the party on a serious issue. As I've stated recently, this is important stuff.

Angry also hits the nail on the head when he notes that Ms. Cotler did not react by siding with Rae or other "pro-Israel" Liberal leadership hopefuls. She obviously believes Harper was right. She obviously believes the Liberal Party of Canada has become anti-Israel.
