Food for thought: Chretien, China, and Bush
a) Isn't a public rebuke of your own prime minister's foreign policy in itself an example of a lack of diplomacy? Chretien is siding with a foreign country in a dispute with his own prime minister. Interesting.
b) Almost in the same breath, Chretien defended China as a friend while mocking America as too close a friend. Where is the logic in that? Then again, I'm not sure if there was much logic to anything Chretien said during that speech.
