On second thought....
I haven't posted in a while, but at least two issues have me coming back to these pages again.
First, if the Harper government is so dictatorial and control-freakish as so many of the usual suspects suggest, then how is it that their party offices were spectacularly raided by the country's national police force, on the orders of a warrant requested by an independent electoral body?
Seriously, in how many countries in the world would we have seen such an outright display of a check on power?
Second, if Obama's candidacy is supposed to be about transcending race and inspiring change, why didn't he stand up to his pastor of 20 years in support of those values? In other words, why does Obama look like any other politician who will tell people what they want to hear at any particular moment of time?
