Somewhat reminiscent of Dion's "this is unfair" line now made famous by the Conservative attack ads.

A couple of things:

a) I'm not sure how far you get in politics by asking your opponent to debate like an "adult". Let's face it, politicians rarely do so, and for a reason. It's called the lowest common denominator.

b) Which brings my to my second point. Since when have Liberals ever refrained from using schoolyard tactics themselves?

In the article linked to above, Dion says that Stephen Harper should discuss things like a prime minister.

Oh really?

Was Jean Chretien discussing things like a prime minister when he made fun of the Alliance for the CCRAP acronym?

Was Paul Martin discussing things like a prime minister when he ran ads depicting women shaking on the floor of an abortion clinic if the Conservatives got elected?

Has Dion himself acted like a prime minister by constantly referring to the government as Bush Republicans, hyping scandal almost every day in Parliament, and accusing the prime minister himself of being a criminal and a liar?

In fact, these are the tip of the iceberg. I could go back to Trudeau even. "Zap! You're frozen!" Remember that one, Stephane? Was Trudeau acting like a prime minister then? Or when he gave people the finger? And so on and so forth.

So, not only does Dion come across as a wimpy by crying about tactics, but I think he's being quite the hypocrite, too.

Good luck selling that carbon tax plan of yours, dude. I think you're going to need it.

By the way, I don't think the prime minister should be using the term "screw" either. But whining in response isn't much better, if you ask me.
