The once great party
So, let me see if I've got this right. It's the Liberal riding association that published a joke contemplating the killing of the prime minister and his wife, but that same riding association says it's the Conservatives who are engaging in a smear campaign? What? (h/t)
(I'll also note that the local newspaper I linked to basically decided to repeat the Liberal accusation, thus putting the Conservatives on the defensive. Again, what?)
My recommendation is that Liberals (and maybe some of their friendly local newspapers) start doing two things:
a) Start taking responsibility for your own actions. You refused to do so leading up to the last election, and you really haven't learned a lesson since.
b) Stop despising Harper. It's counterproductive and then some.
