Second Thots

Sometimes one has to step back, take pause, and have some "second thots"

Uh, never mind

So, Page 37 of Dion's carbon tax plan specifically cites a tariff on goods from countries without a carbon tax plan. But his agriculture critic says that Liberals still have to decide whether or not such a tariff is part of the plan.

What in the world is going on here? If Page 37 is now up for debate in caucus, what else are they going to edit from the plan, and when?

Is this a plan? Or is it a thought experiment?

And here I thought it was supposed to be the most brilliant policy proposal that Canada has seen since Confederation. Back to the drawing board?

You want brilliant?

Michael Hart, a professor, calls Dion's plans "bafflegab" and "crazy".

I'd have a few other choice words to describe the mental state of Dion, but that'll do for now.
