The best environmentalists are....
Somebody on the Fan 590's Outdoor Journal Radio Show said something interesting that I find worth repeating here:
The best environmentalists are those who use it.
This was in reference to people who set aside land for conservation, then use it for things like hunting, fishing, etc, versus "environmentalists" who never actually involve themselves in the environment they say needs protecting.
Again, I find this to be interesting. Not exactly sure what it means, except that maybe people who have a vested interest in something will make sure to value and protect it, as opposed to some people who take a more "hands-off" approach.
