Advice for any aspiring freelance writers
Avoid any publication that claims to be "upstart" or "excited to be part of a new venture and growing readership" etc, etc. They're a dime-a-dozen on the Internet, will accept any crap, will not enhance your portfolio, and amount to nothing more than slave writing.
