Second Thots

Sometimes one has to step back, take pause, and have some "second thots"

Jesus, the Huffington Post, and adultery

I came across this item in the Huffington Post about how viewing porn leads to marital infidelity.

Didn't someone named Jesus say the same thing about 2000 years ago?

Matthew 5:27-30:

[27] "You have heard that it was said, `You shall not commit adultery.'
[28] But I say to you that every one who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
[29] If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and throw it away; it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body be thrown into hell.
[30] And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away; it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body go into hell."

Comments:
This is off-topic, but I wanted to say tell you this about your courageous leap into the fray with all those raving moonbats over on the Macleans site, in the comments about Justin Beiber's pro-life views.

I didn't read every single one of the comments - there were a lot of them there - but I agreed with everything in yours that I read. You are right, morally and factually.

Just wanted to let you know you're not alone. Sometimes the mainstream media and dull-witted people with anger management issues and lots of time on their hands to post web comments can make us pro-lifers forget that.

I took a couple of hit-and-run shots at some of your dumber opponents (and it was hard to choose), but I'm reluctant to wade into such matters with full force these days. I wind up feeling like I'm wandering through an asylum trying to convince the lunatics that they aren't Napoleon.

You did some good work over there. Thank you.
